Foster + Partners has won the competition to design the U2 Tower in Dublin’s docklands.

The 120m tower will include a hotel, retail and accommodation, with a recording studio in an egg-shaped pod at its summit. The architect is a member of a winning consortium, Geranger, alongside Ballymore Properties, investor Patrick McKillen and U2’s members and management. Construction is due to start next year.
