S&P Architects has drawn up a series of scenarios for how London might accommodate swimming competitions at the 2012 Olympics. These include (from left to right): a new-build adaptable stadium that can transform itself from a football pitch to an Olympic pool format; a temporary pool installed in an existing football stadium; a floating pool accommodated on a barge anchored off a bank of the River Thames.
