Commercial director Chris Scoffield promoted to succeed previous managing director Nick Salt

Galliford Try has appointed Chris Scoffield as managing director its the rail, aviation and environment business unit within the infrastructure division. 

He has been commercial director of the same unit for just over three years and succeeds Nick Salt following his promotion to managing director of the infrastructure division last month. 

Scoffield joined Galliford Try in 2014 following its acquisition of Miller Construction and had been at that firm for two-and-a-half years.

He is also a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and Chartered Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors.
