Liverpool work at city’s Alder Hey hospital
Galliford Try has won a £15m scheme to build mental health facilities in Liverpool.
Awarded under the Procure Partnerships Framework, the firm will build a so-called ‘community cluster’ (pictured) at the Laing O’Rourke-built Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, which opened in 2015.
The scheme includes a 12-bed specialist inpatient mental health unit and another facility for mental health and neurodevelopmental outpatients.
Therapeutic gardens, parking and a community police hub will also be part of the development.
Architect Cullinan Studio is behind the masterplan, with 10 Architect on the team as construction architect. Engineer is Scott Hughes Design with Lorne Stewart working on M&E.
Galliford Try starts enabling works this month with completion scheduled for 2021.
