Contractor will build and mange district heat and power system at mixed-use scheme in West Sussex

Galliford Try has a won 25-year contract to manage the energy and district heating system of a net zero carbon scheme in Graylingwell Park, West Sussex.

The Energy Service Company contract (ESCo) is expected to generate Galliford Try about £18m in revenue.

The contractor also secured the £8m contarct to design and build the energy centre and district heating system.

Graylingwell Park is a mixed-use JV between Galliford Try and affordable housing provider Affinity Sutton.

Greg Fitzgerald, chief executive of Galliford Try said: “We have a growing business in renewable energy provision and securing this contract for the long term supply to Graylingwell Park demonstrates our capability in this growth market.”
