Group 4 Securicor hires contractor to refurbish and extend category B prison at Bridgend
Galliford Try has been awarded a £47m contract by Group 4 Securicor to develop and refurbish new and existing facilities at the only private prison in Wales.
The project at Parc Prison in Bridgend will involve developing the category B prison to create a new accommodation block together with extensions and conversions to existing buildings on the site.

Work on site will start in May 2009 and completion is expected by February 2011.
Galliford Try chief executive Greg Fitzgerald said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this contract which builds on Galliford Try's record and experience in delivering custodial projects and adds further to the group's workload in the public and regulated sectors.”
