Contractor to build three hotels in Surrey, Berkshire and Oxfordshire as well as student flats in London
Contractor Galliford Try has won four hotel and housing contracts worth £82.8m.
The firm has been appointed to build a 186-bed Radisson Hotel in Guildford. The scheme, which also includes 38 apartments and an underground car park, is expected to complete in 2011.
The second contract, worth £28m, involves the redevelopment of the Coworth Park Estate in Sunningdale, Berkshire. The project will involve rebuilding the existing manor house, stable blocks and estate cottages to create a 68-room luxury hotel, restaurant, spa and swimming pool. Completion is expected by May 2010.
Galliford Try has also secured a £16.8m deal to redevelop the Heythrop Park resort in Oxfordshire for the Firoka Group and an £8m contract to build a seven-storey student accommodation block in London for Infrastructure Investments.
Chief executive Greg Fitzgerald said: “We are delighted to be awarded these significant contracts in the hotel and residential sector which build on our long track record in these markets and demonstrate our ability to win valuable projects in the commercial sector as well as for our longstanding public sector client base.”
