Wins include jobs for Scottish Water and Network Rail

Contractor Galliford Try has secured £59m of new work in the infrastructure sector, including a £30m contract from Scottish Water.

The contract will see Galliford’s Scottish arm, Morrison, carry out Scottish Water’s Meadowhead and Stevenston work package 6 to collect and transport storm overflows in Irvine, in a joint venture with Black & Veatch.

Galliford has also won a £20m contract to build a linear park for the East Belfast Partnership in joint venture with Siac, for completion in 2013.

Galliford will also upgrade security for all of Network Rail’s 29 powered signal boxes in the UK, for £9m.

Greg Fitzgerald, chief executive of Galliford Try, said: “We are delighted to have secured these three infrastructure schemes which demonstrate the strength, breadth and depth of our presence in these important markets.”
