Firm lands consultancy role on a Foster + Partners-designed New York skyscraper

Gardiner & Theobald has landed a consultancy role on a Foster + Partners-designed 650,000ft2 skyscraper in New York.

G&T assisted clients L&L Holding Company and Lehman Brothers Holdings in running the design competition that Foster + Partners won. The consultant has been retained as project and cost manager through to the completion of the project.

Foster + Partners was announced as winner of the design competition last week - beating competition from Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, OMA and Zaha Hadid Architects.

The clients are now seekinga structural and mechanical engineer and a pre-construction and construction manager.
