Crown Trade has launched Next Generation Gloss, a gloss paint system developed to comply with phase two of the European Paint Directive 2004/42/EC regarding Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emissions.
One of the first gloss paint systems to meet with 2010 VOC legislation, Next Generation Gloss enables specifiers to select an environmentally friendly and sustainable coating system, without compromising aesthetics, durability or ease of application, the company claims. The Next Generation Gloss system includes a gloss and undercoat paint, specially created to deliver high levels of sheen and opacity when applied using conventional techniques. Developed using a high solid, low viscosity resin, the system retains the same flow properties of a conventional gloss, but with improved flexibility and a lower solvent content, claims the company.
