Ex-Energis chief will work with government to deliver Schools for the Future investment progamme.

Mike Grabiner has been appointed chairman of the Partnerships for Schools, the body responsible for delivering the government’s multi-billion pound Building Schools for the Future investment programme.

Grabiner was formerly the chief executive of Energis and is currently a director at Apax Partners, a private equity investment firm.

As chairman Grabiner will work with ministers and senior officials at DfES, Partnerships UK and representatives of other educational bodies.

Grabiner will work with the chief executive David Goldstone. He said of Grabiner: “His understanding of the way government and business interact will be vital in helping us achieve our strategic goals and I’m really looking forward to working with him.”
