Sainsbury’s superstore planned for east London site
Architect The Harris Partnership has been given the green light for a flagship Sainsbury’s superstore in Barking, east London.
The 102,730ft2 scheme for Estates & Agency Properties is located at Abbey Retail Park and incorporates a 60,000ft2 sales area and 400 undercroft parking spaces.
The proposals also include a naturalised green riverside bank to create a pleasant riverside walkway, which will promote wildlife and increase the ecological value of the area in the centre of Barking.
