Architect sees off competition from Zaha Hadid, HOK and Benoy

Grimshaw Architects has seen off competition from Zaha Hadid, HOK and Benoy to provide concept designs for Heathrow’s proposed £16bn third runway.

The architect joins programme managers Arup, CH2M, Mace and Turner & Townsend on the new runway team. Heathrow is vying with Gatwick for government approval to expand.
