Heery International acquires project management company and its subsidiary FPM.

Balfour Beatty's US subsidiary Heery International has acquired Southern California-based project management firm JCM group and its subsidiary Facilities Planning & Management (FPM) for £5.3m.

JCM and FPM have 100 staff and operated in the education health and government markets and their private sector clients include Boeing, Canon and Nissan.

The acquisition follows Heery snapping up US-based healthcare design firm HLM Design last October. HLM merged with its UK namesake in 2002 before the UK firm slipped into administrative receivership last March. The latter has since been bought out by management led by chairman Chris Liddle.
