The Bridge of Aspiration, linking the Royal Ballet School and the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, central London, was opened last week. The visually lightweight cladding of glass and aluminium echoes the 9.5 m bridge’s balletic connections. The glazed sides, two clear and two opaque, twist and overlap. The bridge was designed by architects Wilkinson Eyre, QS was EC Harris and structural engineer was Flint & Neill Partnership.
