The chartered civil engineer will direct consultant's LAS/PFI/PPP group

Consultant Hill International has appointed William Donaldson as director at its London Bridge office.

Bill Donaldson

He will take over as director of Hill’s LAS/PFI/PPP (Lender Advisory Services/Private Finance Initiative/Public Private Partnership) group, which provides advice and support for clients involved in major capital projects across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

A chartered civil engineer and member of the Association for Project Management, Donaldson brings more than 20 years of experience in project management, public private partnerships and construction to this position.

He said: “The recent volatility in the global banking sector has brought the need for lender advisory services sharply into focus. Hill’s LAS/PFI/PPP group already has a strong client base in the Middle East from lenders who have been keen to minimise their investment risk for large-scale developments.

“There are now also a growing number of development finance opportunities in the Far East and across Eastern Europe which I will be keen for Hill’s LAS Group to tap into.”

He joins the company from Arcadis AYH where he spent six years as director within the company’s PPP and Public Sector. His multi-disciplined consulting team delivered major capital projects, for government and private consortia clients, throughout the UK.
