The Homes and Communities Agency has named the organisations that can act as agents for its HomeBuy affordable housing scheme

The 15 registered social landlords will be the first point of contact for applicants for shared ownership housing schemes including Homebuy Direct, in which the government and housebuilders take a 30% share of new-build homes.

The network of agents, which has been appointed until 2011, includes Plus Housing, Riverside, Manchester Methodist, Yorkshire Housing, ISOS and Time2Buy in northern England.

East Midlands Housing, Orbit, Aldwyck, Moat, Metropolitan, L&Q, Catalyst, Swaythling and Sovereign & West Country Housing have been appointed in the Midlands, and the east and south of England.
