Worker operating cherrypicker killed today after a chimney collapse in Northern Ireland

The Health and Safety Executive will investigate the death of a worker who died today after a chimney collapse in Northern Ireland.

Oliver Rutledge was operating a cherrypicker machine when the chimney fell on him. He was demolishing the last chimney on a three-storey building at the site of the old Eccles Arms in Co Tyrone.

He died within half an hour of the accident on Main Street, Fintona.
