Mace and Currie & Brown working on Fareham scheme

Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios has won planning for the £12.35m redevelopment of a Hampshire theatre.

Fareham council approved the concept designs and budget for the project to extend and refurbish the town’s 700-seat Ferneham Hall.

Councillors decided this option was cheaper than demolition and rebuild.

The wider project team includes Mace as project manager and Currie & Brown as quantity surveyor.

The proposals are for an 800-seat theatre, a new foyer, café and bar plus a studio space for small groups.

The architect will now work up more detailed plans, with the venue due to close on January 6 for up to two years for the remodelling project to take place.
