The Royal Bank of Scotland’s £200m, 100,00 m2 headquarters is the largest in the current crop of new buildings in Edinburgh.

Designed by Michael Laird Architects, the three-storey complex of offices and conference and training centres stretches out along either side of a 300 m long internal street on a former hospital site at Gogarburn near Edinburgh Airport. Mace was project and construction manager, with WSP as structural and services engineer, EDAW as landscape architect and Doig & Smith and Mott Green Wall as cost consultants.
