Regeneration in Falkirk will restore dock after half a century of neglect.

ING Real Estate Development has unveiled its plans for the first phase of its £150 million regeneration of Bo’ness in Falkirk. Focusing on the 45-acre area on the foreshore, the development will be centred around a dock, which closed 50 years ago.

The scheme will include 5,000 square metres of leisure and retail space and approximately 700 residential units.

ING said that a public consultation will take place early in 2005, to enable them to submit planning application in March.

The development is part of ‘My Future’s in Falkirk, a £23m plan to regenerate the area led by Scottish Enterprise with financial support from the European Regional Development Fund.
