Developer Inspace has been appointed to the £43m redevelopment of the South Acton Estate by housing association Catalyst Housing Group.

Inspace is working with architect PRP on the redevelopment, for which 254 homes will be built in two phases over the next three years. The scheme will involve the demolition of two large tower blocks; construction is scheduled to start next month. Harlech Tower, on the South Acton estate, was a stand-in for the fictional Nelson Mandela House, the home of Del Boy in the television sitcom Only Fools and Horses.
