Interserve scores Leicestershire school job

The firm was awarded the contract under the Education and Skills Funding Agency’s £8bn school building framework

Interserve has been awarded a contract for the redevelopment of The Cedars Academy just outside of Leicester.

The £5.6m project is set to be delivered in two phases, with the firm’s East Midlands construction team based in Syston, Leicester, set to carry out the job.

Phase one of the project will see the design and development of a new secondary education teaching block and the refurbishment of the existing Stonehill building, while phase two, will involve Interserve demolishing three existing blocks and extending and upgrading another building.
