ISG will undertake the detailed design and build process for the scheme, including the temporary accommodation associated with the works.

It will be Cardiff’s first school campus to be net zero carbon in operation, with the scheme also targeting significant reduction in embodied carbon during construction.

Cantonian High Scool will be replaced with new buildings on its existing site and expanded to provide enough space for 250 pupils.

Woodlands High School will be relocated to the campus with its capacity increased to 240 places, and Riverbank School will be relocated to the campus with capacity up to 112 places.

Subject to planning and procurement, work on the campus is expected to begin in 2023.
