Specialist contractor will deliver high specification retail and commercial space

ISG has won a contract to refurbish a grade II-listed property on New Bond Street in London.

The Italian-influenced Renoir House will be comprehensively renovated and extended to create high specification retail and commercial space.

The building was formerly known as Grosvenor Gallery and was used by the BBC during the Second World War until 1975.

ISG will retain the building’s facade, roof and side walls, but will demolish the rear section. The internal space will be reconfigured and extended through the installation of a four-storey steel portal frame.

The building’s ornamented three-bay Portland stone facade will be repaired and restored, along with the marble portico and a listed internal stone staircase.

ISG will also retain and repair plasterwork elements within the building, timber panelling and original roof trusses.

The project is scheduled for completion in summer 2012.
