Work has begun on the £35m Baltic Place project in Gateshead, Tyne & Wear.
Architect Waring and Netts and the Newcastle office of engineer White Young Green have designed a 13-storey twin office development with a bridge between the towers on the third floor. The design was chosen to retain views of the river. WYG will undertake the civil and structural engineering design for the project. The contractor is Carillion.
