Ground engineer says financials are robust thanks to public infrastructure spending

Privately financed construction spending remains extremely weak, according to ground engineering specialist Keller.

The firm says it was weathering the difficult market conditions thanks to the robust public infrastructure sector.

In an interim management statement it described its financials as resilient, but said tighter construction pricing would result in lower margins until the recovery.

The board's outlook for the year remained unchanged.

Keller said the UK market remained harsh while there had been a further deterioration in the commercial sector in the US. Meanwhile, Continental Europe remained difficult, apart from Poland. The Middle East remained dormant, which Asia continued to be busy the firm said.
