Taylor Woodrow has appointed an industry outsider as the group’s finance director.
The company announced this week that Peter Johnson, whose career so far has been mostly in the financial services sector, would be starting in the post next Monday.

The appointment means industry newcomers will be filling Taywood’s top two executive positions. Chief executive Iain Napier joined earlier this year from brewer Bass.

Johnson has held senior roles at Henderson and Pearl Assurance and was finance director at Norwich Union Life and briefly at drug firm Bioglan Pharma.

He replaces Adrian Auer, who resigned in September after the group revealed it was relocating its headquarters from just outside London to Solihull – Auer was unwilling to move his family.
