Contractor will deliver Ayrshire primary and secondary school

Garnock Valley project

Kier has been appointed to build a £40m education campus in Garnock Valley for North Ayrshire Council.

The campus will relocate and merge the Garnock Academy secondary school and Glengarnock Primary school, together catering for 1,500 students.

The campus will also provide community facilities including a six-lane 25m swimming pool and fitness suite.

It is due to complete in 2016.

Michael McBrearty, general manager of hub South West Scotland, said: “We selected Kier Construction as they are a national business who have committed to delivering local economic growth and regeneration opportunities for the benefit of the local economy.”
