Building materials group looks to boost profit for year with increased sales.

Kingspan says sales in the first four months of 2005 are well ahead of those for the same period in 2004, and that it expects to record increased operating profits over the course of the year.

At the AGM, Group chairman Eugene Murtagh has told shareholders: “this reflects strong underlying volume growth across the main product groups and the ability to pass on raw material price increases in a timely fashion.”

Murtagh said that the group anticipated markets would remain reasonably stable in the immediate future, and that it was confident operating profits and earnings per share for the year would be significantly ahead of that achieved in 2004.
