Stadium wins Best Commercial Project and is runner-up in two other classes at Local Authority Building Control Awards

Wembley National Stadium was showered with awards at the 2008 Local Authority Building Control Awards.

The project, situated in the London Borough of Brent, was labelled as a “truly exceptional building”, winning an award for Best Commercial Project, and runner-up in the Best Structural Project and Best Fire Engineering Project categories.

The Battersea Reach development in the London Borough of Wandsworth also received high acclaim, as runner-up in four categories: Best Fire Engineering Project, Best Partnership with a Main Contractor, Best Partnership with a Designer, Architect or Construction Consultant, and Best Housing and Residential Project.
