K&T provides gas maintenance to over 43,000 homes

Lakehouse has acquired £9.4m-turnover K&T Heating for an undisclosed sum.

The contractor will take on all 140 K&T staff and contracts providing gas maintenance and compliance services to over 43,000 homes across London and the south east.

K&T provides services for a number of social housing providers in the region, including East Thames Housing Association, the Peabody Trust and the London borough of Greenwich.

In the financial year to July 2011 K&T generated pre-tax profit of £1.5m.

Both of K&T’s owners, James Day and David Greenfield, will remain with the business under the ownership of Lakehouse.

Day and Greenfield said: “We are delighted with [this] announcement and look forward to growing our business and servicing our clients, with the support of Lakehouse.”

Stuart Black, chairman of Lakehouse, said: “I am thrilled that we have secured K&T; a fantastic business, with exceptional management team and staff.

“Their service offering compliments the Lakehouse offering, and we share a number of key clients, so I am confident that together we will benefit from continued growth and development.”
