Gardiner & Theobald has appointed Chris Gunn as a director in its Middle Eastern offices in the United Arab Emirates. Before the switch he was working in the Prague office covering central and eastern Europe.

Lara Conaway has joined property consultant GVA Grimley from Morgan Lovell. She will be a sustainability adviser.

John Miller, managing director of York-based building services company JH Shouksmith, has been appointed to the board of SummitSkills, the skills council for the building services engineering sector.

Max Steinberg has been appointed chief executive of economic development company Liverpool Vision. Steinberg replaces Jim Gill, who is retiring.
