First phase of the University of Surrey’s Manor Park campus will feature 733-bed development.

Leadbitter Construction has signed a £25m contract with the University of Surrey to build the first phase of a new student village at Manor Park near Guildford.

The 733-bedroom first phase development will be completed in September 2006. The 186-acre Manor Park site will combine student and staff accommodation, research and teaching blocks, and sporting facilities.

Existing playing fields will be relocated and expanded to create a 47-acre green space between the development and Countryside. The village will be car-free and will also feature extensive landscaped areas.
