Housebuilder Linden has appointed Sir Malcolm Field and Malcolm Heald as non-executive directors.
Field joins the group after retiring as chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority. He was formerly on-executive director of developer MEPC and chief executive of the WH Smith group.

Heald was previously finance director of Hepworth, the industrial building materials group.

Linden chairman Andrew Sells said: "These two non-executive directors will bring considerable experience in our sector of the market."

In a statement, Linden said it hoped the appointments would help the company create premium value from brownfield sites, while meeting the expectations of the community, planners and purchasers.
