Construction industry trio close in on £7,500 fundraising target after finishing race in 5hrs 50 mins

The three London Marathon runners who competed last weekend dressed in 6ft high costumes resembling Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral and the Gherkin are closing in on their fundraising target of £7,500.

Trevor Dowd and Matt Clare of Trident Building Consultancy and Sam Sananes of UBS-CLOVA, have so far raised more than £6,800 for the charity KIDS, which helps disabled children and young people fulfil their potential while supporting their families

The trio completed the race together on Sunday in an impressive 5hrs 50 mins.

They might have finished even faster but pictures suggest Big Ben was forced to visit some bushes along the way.
