London’s office market will weather the Brexit storm and could even attract more Asian occupiers, developers told the MIPIM UK conference.

Tim Roberts, British Land’s head of offices and residential, told delegates: “London’s competitive advantages will endure. We’re still seeing American occupiers want to be located in London and I’m not surprised by that.”

Roberts said none of its rivals provided “what London does and so they are still going to locate in London”.

Max Farrell, partner at architect Farrells, agreed: “All the ingredients that make London a world city haven’t necessarily changed but I think we do need to work harder to attract talent.”

Dan Nicholson, managing director of developer Tishman Speyer UK, predicted an influx of Asian banks.
