Pick Everard has poached the consultancy operations director of Mace’s facilities management arm.

Edward Carter has joined the firm as director of its facilities and asset management consultancy business, which he will be helping to develop and grow.

He has over 30 years of experience in the sector and worked at WSP Facilities Management, Mitie Security and Amec Facilities prior to joining Mace in 2011, where he was responsible for the management and development of the firm’s facilities management consultancy services and relationships.

Carter will be joining Pick Everard’s new Bristol office, which was opened at the beginning of the year by the Leicestershire-based consultant, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year.

Alastair Hamilton, partner at Pick Everard, said: “We created this new role to enhance our profile and strengthen our position in the asset management market place.

“Edward has worked with a diverse range of high-profile clients across the UK, in both the private and public sector and his expertise will provide us with a robust platform on which to strategically advise clients on facilities and asset performance, compliance and cost efficiency.”

Carter said: “My role will be focussed on the growth and development of strategic advisory services and I am looking to build on the firm’s existing relationships as well as develop greenfield opportunities with new clients.’’
