Mace has named Pawan Maini as the new country manager for its operations in India.

Maini (pictured) has more than 25 years of experience in construction, with the last 17 years primarily being spent working for multinational companies operating in the Indian market.

His previous work has included senior leadership positions in India with Ramboll, Halcrow, CH2M Hill and the International Finance Corporation.

The companies he has led have worked on a range of high profile infrastructure projects in India, including Mumbai Airport Terminal 2, the Agra Lucknow Expressway and the Mumbai Ahmedabad High Speed Rail.

Maini replaces Stuart Robinson, who has led Mace’s operations in India since 2016. Robinson is returning to the UK to take up a role in Mace’s consultancy business.

The appointment comes as Mace pushes for further growth in India as part of its new 2022 Business Strategy, particularly diversifying the business to deliver more infrastructure work.

Mace currently employs 180 people in India, working on projects in Mumbai, New Delhi and Gurgaon.
