Deal for jobs in Gloucestershire and North Yorkshire will run five years
A consortium of Mace, Turner & Townsend and Atkins has been appointed delivery partner to carry out work upgrading facilities used by US forces working in the UK.
The Ministry of Defence’s Defence Infrastructure Organisation has picked the team, known as MTA, to lead on its US visiting forces infrastructure programme at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire and RAF Menwith Hill, near Harrogate, in North Yorkshire.
Mace’s consulting arm is heading up the consortium which will provide a range of services ahead of infrastructure upgrades and new build work at both bases.
The contract will run for five years, with options to extend for three further years.
