Make and Arena Central Developments submit plans for 212,000 sq ft office
Make Architects has submitted plans for its second major planned building at the Arena Central scheme in central Birmingham.
If approved, the multi-tiered 2 Arena Central office building fronting the city’s Centenary Square (middle of picture) will sit close to the practice’s already consented curved 1 Arena Central office building (right of picture).
Client Arena Central Developments has also submitted plans for 400 homes across two residential buildings, designed by Glenn Howells Architects.
If approved construction of 2 Arena Central would start by the end of the year and complete in late 2017.
The overall 9.2 acre Arena Central site has outline planning consent for 2.3 million sq ft of mixed-use space, 200,000 sq ft of residential units, 2,500 car parking spaces and more than 1.2 million sq ft of leisure and retail units.
