Making it clear: London’s Victoria & Albert Museum has unveiled a £150m makeover plan, with internal refurbishments by Eva Jiricna Architects and Daniel Libeskind’s controversial Spiral extension as its first and second phases. The total transformation is planned in three phases over 10-12 years. The conceptual masterplan is by Stephen Greenberg and Christine Hanway of Metaphor. Full planning approval has been gained, and scheme design is currently under way, with Arup as consulting engineer and Gardiner & Theobald as quantity surveyor.
