Working with Manchester City Council and the Homes and Communities Agency, the new homes are expected to be delivered over a 10 – 15-year period. The opportunity area outlined for the Northern Gateway spreads across 120 hectares in an arc from Victoria Station and takes in areas of NOMA, the Lower Irk Valley, New Cross and Collyhurst.
Co-chair of the Manchester Place board Howard Bernstein, said: “We are seeking an investment partner with the financial resource, understanding and expertise together with an aligned aspiration to jointly drive forward and deliver this redevelopment.
“High quality housing is key to the sustained long term economic growth of the city and we need to meet the long term needs of existing and future residents and realise the full potential of the Northern Gateway.”
