Masterplan for £500m mixed-use campus in Newcastle gets thumbs up

Outline approval granted for 24 separate developments plots on former General Hospital site

Plans by GSS for a £500m mixed-use neighbourhood on a former hospital site in Newcastle have been given outline approval.

Developers Newcastle University and Genr8 Kajima Regeneration are planning to build a “world class centre for research and innovation” on the 29-acre General Hospital site over the next ten years.
