Europe and Falkland Islands among areas to be covered by new deal

ministry of defence

The Ministry of Defence is looking for contractors to carry out £1bn of building and civil engineering work overseas.

The Defence Infrastructure Organisation, the estates arm of the MoD, is looking to establish a framework for work in Europe and beyond.

The DIO is holding market engagement events in Glasgow and Cyprus, on 14 August and 10 September respectively.

The framework contains a lot for the Falklands Islands and Ascensions Island, a lot for Cyprus, where the UK has a big military presence, a lot for mainland Europe minus Germany, a lot for wider overseas work and a lot for other operations.
