Welsh Water work will include designing and building works for clean and waste water programmes

Welsh Water has extended Morgan Est’s framework contract for a further five years.

As capital delivery partner the firm will design and build works for both clean and waste water programmes throughout south Wales.

The works follow on from the AMP4 programme, where Morgan Est successfully delivered a £130m wastewater capital programme in south-east Wales. Morgan Est is currently delivering Welsh Water’s Advanced Digestion programme valued at £75m.

Paul Smith, chief executive of Morgan Sindall, said: “This is a very important announcement for our infrastructure services division. We are delighted to have been retained as a partner by Welsh Water for the next asset management period.”

The new contracts starts on 1 April 2010.
