John Morgan, executive chairman of construction group Morgan Sindall, has been named one of the four finalists in the PLC Entrepreneur of the Year Award run by The Financial Times.
Morgan took over as executive chairman last year after 23 years as chief executive. Morgan Sindall posted record pre-tax profit last week for the sixth year in a row, beating analysts' expectations.
Pre-tax profit rose 52% to £15.4m, on turnover of £655m.
