Council selects Muse for first phase of 25-year masterplan for town regeneration
Morgan Sindall’s regeneration division, Muse developments, has been selected by Warrington Borough Council as its development partner to deliver the £130m Bridge Street regeneration plan.
Development plans for the six-hectare Bridge Street site include the construction of shops restaurants, hotel, cultural centre and new council offices.
Work, which is subject to planning permission, is expected to begin in 2013.
The scheme is the first phase of the council’s 25 year masterplan for the regeneration of the town centre.
Paul Smith, chief executive of Morgan Sindall, said: “Muse’s appointment as Warrington Borough Council’s development partner demonstrates its ability to continue to win and deliver complex, long-term regeneration partnership projects despite a challenging environment for urban regeneration.”
