New UK headquarters for Eli Lilly 

Morgan Sindall has snapped up a £19m job to build pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly and Company new UK headquarters in Basingstoke.

Eli Lilly, which has its global headquarters in Indianapolis, was the first company to mass produce insulin and turned over $24.6bn (£20bn) in 2018.

Now it is set to occupy a five-storey building (pictured), owned by the local council, in the Basing View Enterprise Zone.

The Zone is being developed by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, in partnership with Morgan Sindall’s regeneration arm Muse Developments, and will see 650,000ftof new space delivered over a 10-year period.

Morgan Sindall is also building a shared 288-space multi-storey car park and carrying out landscaping work to improve the public realm.

Construction work is now underway and is expected to complete by the end of summer 2020.
