Plans for a tall tapering spire over Moscow were unveiled by Lord Foster at this week's MIPIM exhibition in Cannes.

Rising a full 118 floors and 600 m, the tower, designed by Foster and Partners, will be the tallest building in Europe and the highest naturally ventilated tower in the world. It is a mixed-use "vertical city" for 25,000 people with hotel and apartments above offices and retail. Foster said: "It's like nothing that's ever been built before." The Russian STT Group is developer, Halvorson & Partners of Chicago is structural engineer and Waterman is structural and services engineer.
